Getting a chance to experience life from the fresh perspective of a child is a wonder. As we age, we often lose touch with the innate sense of wonder about all things, yet all that’s needed to re-connect to it is to have an adventure with your children.

Boston is a playground for all, but it is a city filled with excitement for the younger members of society. Wintertime is no exception, and planning a winter getaway with your kiddos will be a trip long remembered, especially by experiencing the following:

5 Family-Friendly Boston Winter Activities

1. Old Town Trolley

Hop aboard an old-time trolley that will take you and your kiddos to see the highlights of Boston. This is great fun for the kids for a variety of reasons, first riding the trolley itself is exciting, and second, the trolley stops as so many fun sites for the kids to explore. By far one of our favorite activities to recommend to all visitors because of its unique ability to be “transportainment.” Take a look at which tour route suits your family’s desires best.

You can easily spend an entire day at the aquarium, check out the tickets and full exhibit list here.

3. Coolidge Corner Theater

Another favorite family activity is catching a show at the ever-entertaining Coolidge Corner Theater. When it comes to the programs for kids, they often include magic, puppets, film, music and more. All the programs are recommended for kids ages 3-10 unless otherwise indicated in the description.
